What is the difference between a single entry visa and a multiple entry one?

The main difference between these two visa types is that a single entry visa allows entry to Vietnam for one-time only and a multiple entry visa allows entry many times.

- Single entry visa: 

• allows uninterrupted stay in Vietnam during the visa’s period of validity;
• has one month or three months of validity;
• would expire once you leave Vietnam, even if the time period allowed to stay in Vietnam is not over yet.

- Multiple entry visa:

• allows the visitors to go in and out of Vietnam as pleased during the visa’s period of validity;
• has a maximum validity date of up to one year for eligible travelers.
